This is my first guide on steam and the maps are clearly still a work in progress but I believe they are complete enough to share with the community. The cardinal directions (compass rose) are defined by the sun in the corresponding region. PLEASE NOTE: The orientation of the maps is based on in-game coordinates.
I now know how much work and effort it is to create them. By now I have added a few other maps for the regions Whiteberry never provided any maps. And boy I can tell you it really takes some time, quite some wolf struggles, blood loss, sprained wrists and ankles, hypothermia and frostbite to get it finished in an acceptable way. So I sent my long run stalker survivor (300+ days) out on a mission to map the latest region, Hushed River Valley. We all became great fans of those maps and I always wondered how much effort was actually involved to create those. Many players relied on those beautifully created maps and we all fell in love with them, just as I did.
The maps created by Whiteberry were extremely helpful for everyone who started playing The Long Dark.
